The piano you hear on people is played by Sonic Pi, Sam Aaron's live coding music tool, and Ruby all the way down.

Join us โFounder @ Plenty
Iโm Carmine Paolino, a software engineer, founder, and musician based in Berlin. I run [Plenty](https://plenty.is), the company behind my products and open-source work. I created [RubyLLM](https://rubyllm.com), a framework for building AI applications in Ruby. I also build [Chat with Work](https://chatwithwork.com), developer tools like [ArchSpec](https://archspecrb.dev) and [Kamal Backup](https://kamal-backup.dev), and native Spotify and WhatsApp clients [Spotifast](https://spotifast.rocks) and [ZapFast](https://zapfast.rocks). I build the software I need and make it a pleasure to use. My favorite problems are the ones I run into myself: something missing, frustrating, or slower than it should be. I care about speed, beauty, and the details that make a tool feel right, from the interface down to the code. My background is in computer science and AI, and Iโve worked in machine learning since 2012. I got involved in open source as a teenager, running the Italian Gentoo Linux community. Previously, I co-founded [Freshflow](https://freshflow.ai), using AI to reduce supermarket food waste. I help organize [Berlin.rb](https://berlinrb.org), founded the [Floppy Disco](https://floppydisco.live) music collective, and make house and disco as [Crimson Lake](https://crimsonlake.live). Iโd love to meet fellow maintainers, independent founders, people building with Ruby and AI, and anyone interested in software and music.
