Join us โSenior Software Engineer @ greatschools
I'm currently a Senior Software Engineer at GreatSchools. I've spent 20 years building software - lately its been mostly in Ruby on Rails, search, and backend systems, AI-powered products and agentic workflows. I'm esp interested in NLP with high confidence outputs - results people can trust and: search and information retrieval, systems that stay fast and reliable under real load, and practical ways to put AI agents to work on real tasks. Outside of work I'm deep in AI coding tools, agent architectures, and automation, plus small independent projects. The question I'm most interested in right now is what building, testing, deploying, and running software looks like once agents are active participants in the process, not just assistants. I like meeting people who are building useful things that solve real problems with AI, trying out new developer tools, or working on search, education, or open source - always happy to chat.
